Fadi’s-Dallas, Texas

Tried and true, Fadi's is a long time favorite of ours. A myriad of fresh crisp salads and to-die-for mouthwatering veggies are as delicious as they are beautiful. Fresh-baked pita, both white and wheat, provide a warm and hearty backdrop to the several meat entrees offered. The shrarma gyro never disappoints...not dry or crispy, but juicy and bursting with traditional Mediterranean flavor. Fadi's rich and velvety lamb shank falls off the bone and melts in your mouth.

As for the wine...we found another hidden gem...very intense full-bodied bordeaux that would cellar for under 20 bucks. Avoid the 2013, but the 2014 should be outstanding in a few years. If you're unsure about Bordeaux wines, this would be a good one to test your palate. We recommend to decant for at least an hour and pair with beef, lamb or game.
