Cafe Medi-Keller, Texas

Cafe Medi is one of our favorite nearby BYOB restaurants. Their service is always friendly, the food never disappoints, and we enjoy having a hookah seated outside where a lovely ambiance is created with water features, landscaping and lighting. We started with the Saganaki, a tantalizingly tasty deep fried cheese set aflame tableside. Opa! We also had the shawarma gyro platter and tried their Zeus Burger with Cheese...YUM!

We knew we were in for a treat when we opened the 2005 Chateau Simard St. Emilion, saw the inky cork, smelled the rich bouquet and poured the deep garnet full-bodied Bordeaux into the decanter. Big start, smooth tannins with a soft finish. Dark fruits, smoky, hints of vanilla and mocha. Beautiful and lush...a well-balanced bottle that we'll definitely enjoy again before it's too late!
